Uniswap, ranked 6th in terms of Total Value Locked among the decentralized exchanges (DEXs) according to DefiLlama, is already working on five different blockchains. But interestingly it has not yet been deployed on the BNB Chain, once known as Binance Smart Chain, despite the latter being larger in terms of users than other blockchains already used by the DEX.

0xPlasma Labs, proposed a vote, which they called “Temperature Check” to the Uniswap community, on whether Uniswap V3 should be deployed on the BNB Chain. 6,495 voters, or 80% of voters, staked 20 million UNI in order to show their support for the proposal. 0xPlasma will now move forward with its final “Governance proposal”, which should come out in the next few weeks. They expect the deployment on the BNB Chain to bring large amounts of liquidity, since the blockchain, with close ties to Binance, already has a large user base, especially for DeFi users.
