Kraken leaves the Japanese market

While the country is currently taking steps to improve market conditions and regulations for crypto investors and entrepreneurs, centralized exchange Kraken has decided to leave the Japanese market. The decision comes only a month after the exchange laid off 30% of its workforce, citing current market conditions in Japan. According to the official statement, Japanese customers have until the end of January 2023 to withdraw their funds and transfer them to other exchanges or wallets. Kraken had launched in Japan in September 2020.
