Coinbase halts NFT trading on its wallet due to App Store policies

In late October, Apple changed its terms of use for the App store, to force in-app crypto-related purchases to be taxed on the gas fees.
As Coinbase tried to release its new update, Apple blocked it as they require gas fees to be processed through the App store. Indeed, Apple requests 30% of all NFT transfer gas fees.
As a result, Coinbase had to halt NFT trading on the wallet.
Coinbase suggests that Apple doesn’t understand how NFT and the crypto industry works, since the In-App purchase system doesn’t support crypto payments. The implications go further than Coinbase, as apps like Metamask can also be used to transfer NFTs.
