Binance and Mastercard team up to launch a prepaid crypto card in Brazil

At the end of November, the Chamber of Deputies implemented a new legal framework which allowed the Brazilian citizens to use cryptocurrencies as payments for goods and services. Binance is now launching a prepaid crypto card, in partnership with payment giants Mastercard, according to a blog post.

Owners of the Binance prepaid card will be able to pay with 14 different cryptocurrencies, which includes BTC, ETH and of course BUSD. Each transaction will have 0.9% fee, while offering up to 8% in cashback, and allow free-of-charge ATM withdrawals.

In a partnership with SmartPay inked in October 2022, Tether’s USDT was to be made available at over 24,000 ATMs across Brazil.
