Binance and Huobi teamed up to freeze $2.5 million from Harmony One Exploit

2022 was a year marked by bankruptcy and massive hacks. The Harmony One exploit was maybe one of the biggest. Attributed to the North Korean hacker organization Lazarus Group, the hack saw $100 million of digital assets stolen through the Horizon Bridge.
In a team effort, security teams at Binance and Huobi collaborated and managed to recover 124 BTC, worth around $2.5 million, that the hacker tried to launder through the centralized exchange.
