As expected, SBF pled not guilty, his trial date is set for October

Sam Bankman-Fried appeared in court yesterday for his arraignment.
In Manhattan’s federal court, the disgraced founder of FTX entered a not guilty plea to the 8 criminal counts he is facing. The judge decided to add a new condition to SBF’s bail, which is not to access FTX or Alameda’s assets. The condition comes after $1.7 million were transferred from one of Alameda’s wallets last week.
In court, Sam Bankman-Fried’s lawyer asked the judge not to release the names of the two other co-signers for SBF’s bail bond, as his parents have supposedly received threats.
His trial is set to start in October, and his two former associates Caroline Ellison and Gary Wang are expected to testify in the trial, as they have already entered their guilty plea last week.
