Artfi Whitelists Over 25,000 Enthusiasts for its Genesis Pass NFT Launch

Art technology startup, Artfi, has created a buzz among art collectors with its innovative approach to democratize the ownership of fine art. By utilizing blockchain technology, Artfi has made possible the fractionalization of artworks, starting with 'The Six Elements' collection by Sacha Jafri.

In a revolutionary step towards democratizing the ownership of art, Artfi, an art technology startup, has opened its Genesis Pass whitelist to the general public ahead of its official launch. This move allows collectors to get involved in the purchase of fractionalized art releases hosted on the Artfi platform, with the first release being the iconic ‘The Six Elements’ collection by renowned artist Sacha Jafri.

Over 25,000 enthusiasts have already registered for the whitelist, and 10,000 Genesis Pass NFT holders will be eligible to acquire fractional pieces of the collection. By dividing artworks into fractional shares, Artfi increases ownership and liquidity, making collectible art accessible to a broader audience. Besides owning a piece of Jafri’s work, the pass holders will be eligible for a free token airdrop and participation in future fractionalized art sales via Artfi.

Jafri’s collection, ‘The Six Elements’, is a series of six unique physical paintings that were created in collaboration with Rolls Royce. As a part of this collaborative process, Jafri took inspiration from natural elements to create these masterpieces. The collection includes paintings titled Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Wind. The final piece, named ‘Humanity’, represents the sixth element, which Jafri considers the most important, often overlooked.

Jafri chose Artfi for launching his first fractionalized collection, drawn by the startup’s mission to democratize art. He believes that this platform allows as many people as possible to appreciate and own a piece of his creations. Jafri holds the record for the third highest price ever paid for a work of art by a living artist. His ‘Journey of Humanity’, the world’s largest canvas, fetched $62M in 2021.
