Alameda’s Caroline Ellison and FTX co-founder Gary Wang pled guilty to fraud charges
Damian Williams, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, declared in an official statement that Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research, and Gary Wang, co-founder of FTX and CTO for both FTX and Alameda, pleaded guilty respectively to 7 and 4 charges that they are facing. Sam Bankman-Fried was escorted by the F.B.I. from the Bahamas to the Southern District of New York where he should be heard as soon as possible according the Attorney Williams. He is facing eight counts of fraud or conspiracy to commit fraud, and conspiracy o commit money laundering, as well as a civil lawsuit with the SEC and the CFTC.
